Results of G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue 2019 and follow up of the G20 Implementation Framework for Actions on Marine Plastic Litter

The Ministry of the Environment, Japan, together with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the United Nations University, Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS), convened the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue 2019 and follow up of the G20 Implementation Framework for Actions on Marine Plastic Litter and related events on 8-11 October, 2019.

In this meeting, based on the G20 Implementation Framework for Actions on Marine Plastic Litter agreed at the G20 in Japan in June, the first information sharing on measures and best practices in each country was held, and for the realization of the Osaka Blue Ocean Vision, promotion of measures and policies through mutual learning etc., was confirmed.

As a result of the meeting, the G20 Report on Actions against Marine Plastic Litter and the Roadmap for the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue was formulated, and chair's summary was compiled.
