Environmental Quality Standards for Groundwater Pollution

Establishment of Environmental Quality Standards for Groundwater Pollution

Environmental Quality Standards (EQS) for groundwater pollution were issued in 1997 and they are required to be maintained in order to protect human health.
As a result of additions made in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2011, and 2012, EQS now regulate 28 hazardous substances and items including heavy metals, volatile organic carbons, and etc.
