1. The G7 Alliance on Nature Positive Economies (G7ANPE) was established at G7 Sapporo, as a forum to share knowledge and create information networks on  nature positive economies.

2. As part of this year's activities, Japan chaired a workshop on nature-related information disclosure on May 30, 2023. The aim of this workshop was to share the G7 members' perspectives on elements that should be reflected in information disclosure and related issues.

3. We are pleased to announce the completion of a discussion paper as a summary of the workshop.

Background of the G7 Alliance on Nature Positive Economies (G7ANPE)

In the G7 2030 Nature Compact, an annex to the Communiqué of the G7 Summit in 2021, a commitment was made to a global mission to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030 and to become “nature positive.” Promoting investments in nature and nature positive economies was manifested as one of its pillars.
Realizing nature positive economies requires a transition to an economy and society where nature is mainstreamed and its diverse values are incorporated and enhanced.
To this end, G7ANPE was established at G7 Sapporo as a forum to share knowledge and create information networks on nature positive economies.

Activities this year & Future activities

*The Alliance expects the involvement of the G7 member governments, as well as private companies, research institutions, and other entities.
