Partial Enforcement of the Amended Act on the Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures

In June this year, an amendment to the Act on the Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures was promulgated mainly in order to control the greenhouse gas emissions from the residential, commercial and other sectors. The partial amendment with regard to the establishment of guidelines for the control of greenhouse gases will be endorsed by the Cabinet on December 5th, 2008, and become effective on December 12th, 2008.
