Recruitment of general-sites in rural research for 'Monitoring Sites 1000' (Announcement)

The Biodiversity Center of Japan, the Ministry of the Environment, is currently recruiting general-sites for rural research of 'Monitoring Sites 1000' : the nationwide long-term project of ecosystem monitoring for the conservation of natural environment.

There are two types of survey sites: core-sites and general-sites. Core-sites are intended to comprehensively detect ecosystem change through yearly surveys with various survey items. General-sites are, in contrast, intended to grasp nationwide patterns of rural ecosystem change through citizen voluntary surveys with at least one survey item.
