Results of Questionnaire Survey on Eco-Labeling
The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) conducted a questionnaire survey on eco-labeling among those persons in charge of procurement for their enterprises in July 2007, and has announced a summary of the survey results.
The results show that while the degree of recognition for eco-labels was relatively high, people had many negative opinions regarding eco-labeling, such as "Specific meaning of each eco-label is not clear." It is expected that the results will encourage businesses to revise their ways of providing environmental information in an easy-to-understand format for those in charge of procurement.
