Announcement of the List of People Conferred an Order in the Spring of 2007
On April 24, 2007, the Cabinet endorsed the list of people who will be conferred an Order from the Emperor and officially announced the conferees on April 29. Among them, 14 people are acknowledged to have made an environment related contribution (see the attached for the list of names).On May 8, one of the 14 people who is to be conferred one of the highest ranking medals will attend the ceremony in the Inperial Palace.
On May 9, the other 13 people will attend the ceremony held in the MOE, wherein the Minister of the Environment, in place of the Emperor, will hand the medals and written certificates of Orders to them, Later on the same day, the conferees will visit the Imperial Palace and will be granted an audience with the Emperor.
