Public Comments Invited regarding the Calculation Method of the CO2 Emission Factor of Electricity
Based on Article 6 of the Bill Partially Amending the Law Concerning the Promotion of the Measures to Cope with Global Warming (Law No. 61 of 2005), the Ministerial Ordinance on Calculation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Emitted by Specified Emitters (the METI and the MOE Ordinance No.3 of 2006) was enforced as of April 1, 2006.
Article 10-2 of the Calculation Ordinance stipulates that Ministers of the MOE and the METI publicize the CO2 emission factors of electric utility companies.
Regarding the calculation method of CO2 emission factors, the MOE and the METI invite public comments from February 2 until March 2, 2007.
