FY 2005 PRTR Data Overview
The Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry have jointly published a report titled "2007 PRTR Data Report, Japan - Total Releases and Transfers, Summary," which is the fifth report of this kind since the enforcement of the PRTR Law.
A total of 40,823 business facilities throughout Japan filed reports for their FY 2005 data. The aggregated totals of all relevant substances in Japan included a reported release quantity of 259 kilotons, a reported transfer quantity of 231 kilotons, and the quantity of releases not subject to reporting of 348 kilotons.
