Second Announcement of International Symposiums on Chemical Management in the Context of Global Trends

Recently, global trends in chemical management have been changing. For example, REACH, new chemical regulations of the EU, was adopted last December. The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) will organize two international symposiums in March in Tokyo and Yokohama to promote further understanding of the global trends and to offer opportunities to consider future chemical management in Japan (simultaneous interpretation service available at symposiums).

On March 2, presentations that include one on REACH by an European Commission official and a panel discussion will take place at the Science Hall (Kitanomaru-Park) in Tokyo, Japan.
On March 30, presentations on global trends in chemical management by several officials from US, Canada, European Commission and East Asia (TBD) will take place at the Pacifico Yokohama (Minato-Mirai area) in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Further information on these symposiums is available at https://www.env.go.jp/chemi/reach/index.html (in Japanese).
Because of limited seating availability, those interested in attending need advance registration from http://www.tube.co.jp/forum/reach.html (in Japanese).
