The Cover Page Competition for the "Annual Report on the Environment, the Sound Material-Cycle Society, and Biodiversity 2015"

We are pleased to announce that we will organize a competition on the cover page of the captioned white paper same as last year. Please send us your drawings no later than Jan.30, 2015.


1. Purport
We hope that this event can serve you as an opportunity to think about how to protect our environment, how to achieve creating the Sound Material-Cycle Society and how to preserve our Biodiversity.


2. Theme
"Environmentally friendly society"
i.e.)
What we can do to our environment
Community with clean air, water, and greenery
Let's reduce, reuse, and recycle!
Life in harmony, into the future
and the like.


3. Category, Awards
There are two categories.
Each prize is to be awarded with a certificate and a keepsake.

(1) Grade school students category
The Best Award (The Minister of the Environment Award),
A Merit Award,
An Excellent Works (about 2 awards)
Grade school students, elementary school students, and junior high school students and those with equivalent are invited to apply.

(2) General public category
The Best Award (The Minister of the Environment Award),
A Merit Award,
An Excellent Works (about 2 awards)
15 years old and above who will not fall under the (1) category are invited to apply.

Sponsored by Ministry of the Environment


5. Management office
Japan Environment Association


6. Selection process
A committee comprising of examiners appointed by Ministry of the Environment and Japan Environment Association will decide the prize.
Examiners are to be those specialists in environmental education and arts.


7. Call for entries
Deadline: January 30th, 2015 (as indicated by the postmark on the envelope)
Awards to be announced: mid-March, 2015


8. About award winning works
Award winning works will be printed on the cover or a back cover of the white paper, or a poster encouraging environmental month, and/or used in the environmental events.


9. Notice
Size: quarto-size drawing paper (542mm *382mm)
Position: vertical
Paint materials: no restrictions (no three-dimensional objects)
Coloring: no restrictions
Letters: no letters or alphabets
Photographs: no photographs
Required point: fill in the application and paste it on the back of the work
Entry form: downloadable entry form
Copyright: belongs to Ministry of the Environment

Miscellaneous:
Has to be original unpublished work.
Multiple entries permitted. Every entry has to be accompanied with one application with required information.
Award winning works may be touched up or design may be reworked when used as the cover of the white paper.
Do not bend or fold when sent.
Except award winning works, submitted work will be returned on request by March 31st, 2015. The actual expenses incurred are the responsibility of the entrant.
