Result of the "Green Wave 2012"

During the period from March 1, 2012, through June 15, 2012, the MOE, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism called for participation in the "Green Wave 2012," in which children and youth all around the world planted and watered trees in commemoration of the "International Day for Biological Diversity" (May 22nd).
The MOE has put together the results of those activities, showing that tree-planting activities took place by some 18,000 participants from 465 groups, resulting in nearly 60,000 trees planted.
