GOSAT (IBUKI) Third Research Announcement (RA)

The Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite "IBUKI" (GOSAT), the world's first spacecraft to measure the concentrations of CO2 and CH4 from space was launched on January 23, 2009, and has been operating properly since then. Moreover, the GOSAT Products up to Level 2 have been released to the public.
The GOSAT Project is jointly promoted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), and the MOE (hereafter referred to as the "3 Parties" collectively). The 3 Parties will solicit research proposals for the third time for the purposes such as the data quality evaluation of the data and the algorithm through calibration and validation, and the promotion of the GOSAT data utilization. All individual researchers, educational organizations, research institutes, governmental bodies, and private companies, which are aiming to use the GOSAT data for non-profit and peaceful purposes, are invited to apply to the 3rd RA. Once qualified, RA researchers will have the privileges such as the data accesses and the requests of observation.
