Survey Results of Environmentally Friendly Corporate Behaviors

The MOE has summarized the results of "Survey on Environmentally Friendly Corporate Behaviors" for FY 2008, which is an annual survey conducted since FY 1991.
According to the results, companies publishing environmental reports are on the rise again. Environmental businesses and global warming preventive measures have also increased, showing progress of voluntary environmental efforts.
Companies in favor of environmental tax (39.3%) exceeded companies against its implementation (37.5%). As for the use of tax revenue, 76.1% replied that it should be used for global warming measures and energy conservation investment. Companies in favor of domestic emission trading scheme exceeded those against.
More companies (20%) are addressing conservation of biodiversity.
