The Second Plenary Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Forum for Environment and Development in the Second Phase (APFED II) to be Held

The Ministry of Environment will hold the second plenary meeting of the Asia-Pacific Forum for Environment and Development in the Second Phase (APFED II) on July 31 and August 1, 2006 in Adelaide, Australia.

The APFED is a forum of eminent persons first formed in 2001 with a mission to propose a model of equitable and sustainable development for the Asia-Pacific region.
The second phase of the APFED was started in 2005 to promote concrete measures for the implementation of the recommendations set out in the final report compiled during the first phase.

During the meeting, progress on the core activities of the APFED II will be reported and discussed, based on the outcome of the first plenary meeting of the APFED II held in November 2005.
