Results of the 7th Workshop on Environmental Monitoring of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in East Asian Countries

The MOE of Japan held the above-mentioned workshop from the 28th to the 30th of September, 2009, in Mita Kaigisho, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Government officials and experts from 10 countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) in the East Asia sub-region as well as other experts from United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP), United Nations University (UNU), Northwest Pacific Action Plan (NOWPAP) and Japan participated in the workshop. The Workshop adopted the chairperson's summary as attached.
