Announcement on the the certification system application for businesses detoxifying asbestos wastes

To promote the appropriate treatment of asbestos waste, the Ministry of the Environment implemented a certification system for businesses detoxifying asbestos wastes using sophisticated technologies in compliance with the Waste Management and Public Cleansing Law.
The Minister announced today that the first application has been submitted by Mie Central Development, LTD. Their application documents will be open for public inspection for one-month, from August 17th to September 16th, 2009. Stakeholders interested in the relevant facilities may submit their comments to the Minister from the perspective of life environment conservation by September 30th, 2009.
