Report on the Status of the Implementation of the Cartagena Law and the Results of the Public Comments on the Draft Report
The sub-committee of the Genetically Modified Organisms of the Central Environment Council finalized its report on the implementation status of the Cartagena Law (the Law concerning the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Biological Diversity through Regulations on the Use of Living Modified Organism) which was first enforced in 2004.
An outline of the comments received from public on the draft report and responses to those comments are also available on the Ministry of the Environment's web page (in Japanese).
