"Guidelines for Private Sector Engagement in Biodiversity" published

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) has formulated the "Guidelines for Private Sector Engagement in Biodiversity" which will act as guidance for voluntary actions for the conservation of biodiversity and its sustainable use by the private sector, in line with the Third National Biodiversity Strategy of Japan.
The guidelines were examined and discussed by the "Committee on Biodiversity Private Sector Activities Guideline" chaired by Prof. Naoki Kachi of Tokyo Metropolitan University. In the formulation of the guideline, the chair's note was issued along with the guidelines.
