Commemorative Ceremony for the Listing of "Izumi Wintering Habitat of Cranes" as a Ramsar Site

State Minister Ooka participated in the ceremony to commemorate the listing of "Izumi Wintering Habitat of Cranes" (Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture) as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention. He expressed his respect and congratulations to the local people for their great contribution to the conservation of migratory birds and wetlands. It was a wonderful ceremony with local elementary and junior high school students and residents expressing their congratulations.
