One of famous hot springs in Tohoku known as being associated with Nanbu domain

Located at the southern foot of Mt. Akitakomagatake, this is one of famous therapeutic hot springs in Tohoku also known as being associated with Nanbu domain. The emerald green-colored spring source is known as “medicinal bath” and attracts nationwide fans of hot springs with its abundant volume of hot-spring incrustations. As its efficacy became popular, people including many climbers come to visit Kunimi Sanso, a one-day bath service facility close to the entrance to the climbing path.
