With its history of 200 years, Ishizuka Ryokan attracts people as a therapeutic hot spring inn with its charm of being rustic atomosphere. It has “jisui-bu” or self-catering rooms to have hot spring cure without rushing by taking many days in addition to ordinary “ryokan” or hotel offering food from the land and sea.
The hot springs of Ishizuka Ryokan have efficacies of both sulfur spring and hydrogen carbonate spring.Among sulfur spring types, it belongs to hydrogen sulfide type. While it has a strong color and smell, it is almost neutral at pH 6.8, which means rather mild to body. The dark jade-colored hot-spring water and the carpet of fluffy hot-spring incrustations heal people.
The rustic inn has staff with plenty of heart, nostalgic atmosphere, and the natural hot springs to heal people.

The olive-colored hot spring water has strong smell of hydrogen sulfide. A lot of hot-spring incrustations are deposited. Avoid soaking in the bath for a long time, and make it about 20 to 30 minutes each time. In the case of those staying for a long time, bathing 3 or 4 times a day is recommended.
The spring water from Mt. Akitakomagatake containing ample minerals is the basis of all the cooking here.
A remote mountain inn has no mobile phone connection and even its electricity has to be generated privately. While it is inconvenient to live, many people wishing to get away from their daily life are attracted to this inn.
