Omisaka Course

Model Course Scenery

Steep and varied ridge climbing. If you love uphill climbs, this is the course recommended.

Omisaka Course is a trail climbing the south foot of Mt. Iwate almost in a straight line.

This course with continuous steep climbs is for good walkers. And as an old shrine approach for worship climbing the same as the Uwabo Course; there remain many place names such as “Waraji nugi ba”, “Kirihagi” and “Kasajime” still today to remind us of those years of worship climbing.

From Otaki Observation Point, you can look over the narrow and clean streams of Otaki waterfalls, the source of this area name, and the south foot of Mt. Iwate including the central city area of Morioka and Shizukuishi Basin.
