Located almost halfway between the 8th Station and Amidaike Pond, you can enjoy the views of Mt. Moriyoshi and Lake Tazawa from this observation deck. On a clear day, even the views of Shirakami-Sanchi and Mt. Chokai can be enjoyed.
The pond is surrounded by Mt. Onamedake, Mt. Odake, Mt. Yokodake, and others, and has wooden walkways around it. On its west side, flower fields spread around to make visitors enjoy seeing various flowers such as Aleutian Avens, Kobaikeso White Helleboer, and Daylily. On the east side, there are a shelter hut and toilets, which are the most appropriate to stop over for taking a break.
On Mt. Akita-Komagatake, various flowers can be seen from June to September. Especially at Oyakesuna in July, a large community of Komakusa Dicentra is impressively beautiful.
