Adelie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae) Sphenisciformes/ Spheniscidae
  Adelie penguins make nests piling up pebbles on the ground after ice and snow melt away. They lay 2 eggs in austral summer and the young leave the nest in the same season. Length: 70cm. Weight: 3.7-4.0kg. Feed on krill. Current Population: a minimum of 2,600,000 pairs, 10,000,000 chicks.
