Built by a team of 80 Northern Tohoku carpenters who specialize in the construction of shrines and temples, the main building is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Its exterior is made of Akita Japanese cedar. Its open entrance way is a colonnade that communicates local history and tradition. The western-style rooms of the Annex are simply designed, yet provide an exquisite feel. The main bath at the inn is fed from the waters of a mountain stream that flows into Lake Towada. The traditional outdoor bath offers the enjoyment of grand views of the lake.
