Message from the Facility
Yachi Onsen is a single-building inn located 800 m above sea level on Hakkoda Mountains by the trailhead of Mt. Takada-odake. Stretching out below the inn is the Yachi Marshland, where Asian skunk cabbage blooms in early summer. The Japanese marten appears on winter nights, when a blanket of snow covers all. The martens with their coats of yellow and white can be seen from the restaurant window leaving a seasonal image of the Yachi Onsen shrouded in a winter valley. Experience the fullness of nature in every season here, while enjoying dishes prepared with locally gathered wild plants, char trout, and mushrooms.
