Head to Hakkoda for the best possible powder snow!
This ski area is located at the foot of Mt. Tamoyachi in the Hakkoda Mountain Range in Towada-Hachimantai National Park. The winter attractions of the area include the frost-covered Aomori-todomatsu fir trees (nicknamed "snow monsters") and dry powder snow. Another is the ample depth of the accumulated snow. The ski area lies in a magnificent, expansive field. There are three runs: Kansuizawa, Furikozaka, and Slalom.
Feel free to make use of the ski school, back country guides, and snowshoe guides. There is also a restaurant. For details, search for "Hakkoda Park" online.

Message from the Facility
Hakkoda Kokusai Ski Area is one of the ski areas developed by Hakkoda Park. Hakkoda Park can be enjoyed in seasons other than winter as well. Trekking is also a year-round attraction. Trekking guides are available to introduce you to the natural beauty of Hakkoda — the new greenery of spring, the varied flowers of summer, and the foliage of autumn. Both half-day and full-day guided trek courses are available. Even persons not accustomed to walks are encouraged to join.
