Accommodation Camp Site Kurosawaike Hutte

Kurosawaike Hutte
A quiet mountain lodge with a blue dome roof and massive pillars.

The lodge stands on a plateau between Mt. Myoko and Mt. Hiuchi 2,000 m above sea level. The environs include Chosuke-ike Pond, Kurosawa-ike Pond, Koya-ike Pond, and their broad wetlands of wonderful flowers that still have their natural appearance. You will find the blue domed roof of Kurosawaike Hutte when you descend from the Kurosawa-ike Marsh and its 8-km perimeter.

The lodge was designed by Takamasa Yoshizaka, a disciple of Le Corbusier, the architect of the National Museum of Western Art, which is registered as a World Heritage Site. The round, 2-m diameter skylight in the central ceiling seems to draw in the starlight. You can gaze up at the stars from your bed. Please make use of the facility when you are climbing Mt. Myoko or Mt. Hiuchi.
