HAKONE BOTANICAL GARDEN OF WETLANDS
A garden where you can encounter beautiful Japanese flowers.

The Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetland is the first marshland botanical garden in Japan centered on plants that grow in wetlands and marshlands such as marshland bogs, rivers, and lakes. The garden comprises around 200 wetland plant species dotting locations all over Japan from lowlands to high mountains, as well as around 1,100 plant species from grasslands, forests, and alpine locations, and around 1,700 plant species, including rare foreign mountain weeds, blooming throughout the four seasons.

Message from the Facility
The nature trail is designed for viewing plants in the order from lowlands to high mountains and from low-level wetlands to high-level wetlands. Visitors are invited to enjoy rare plants throughout the four seasons in the midst of Nature.
