The mountains beyond Hiruzen Highland
On early autumn mornings in Hiruzen, the Hiruzen Three Peaks appear to float on a sea of clouds, a breathtaking and poetic highlight of the season. Wake up a little earlier to catch a chance to see this magnificent view.
The fall leaves as seen from Kagikake-toge Pass
From Kagikake-toge Pass, located at an elevation of 800 meters, you can see the impressive south face of Mt. Daisen which towers above Daisen's symbolic beech forest like a gigantic wall. With the contrast of the mountain’s barren, rocky peaks and the vibrant foliage that spreads out below, this is arguably Mt. Daisen’s best view point.
A forest tunnel of beech trees
From Sannosawa to Ninosawa on the way from Kagikake-toge Pass to Masumizu Highland, you can get a close look at Mt. Daisen’s beech forest.
