1 | In dismantling specified fire-resistant structures, etc.* the total area in which specified construction materials are used within the subject structure is more than 50 m2 (except for those mentioned in 2, below) | In observance of the following items, specified construction materials used in the subject structure shall either be removed or more effective measures shall be taken:

2 | Of the work noted in 1, above, the dismantling of structures which results in a dangerous situation for persons entering the structure; or, during the dismantling of other structures, in which the removal of specified construction materials is extremely difficult to carry out. | Either spraying water on the subject structure, or taking more effective measures, shall be carried out. |
3 | In carrying out remodeling or repair work of specified fire-resistant structures, etc., the total area in which specified construction materials are used within the subject structure is more than 50 m2 | In observance of the following items, specified construction materials used in the subject structure shall either be removed, enclosed, or sealed, or more effective measures shall be taken:

*Specified fire-resistant structures, etc.: Fire-resistant structures as specified in Article2, Item 9-2 of the Construction Standards law (1950 Law Number 201), or semi-fire-resistant structures as specified in Article 2, Item 9-3 of the Construction Standards Law, having a gross floor space of more than 500 m2.
