On September 3, 2025, in Langkawi, Malaysia, H.E. Mr. ASAO Keiichiro, Minister of the Environment of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Linkham Duangsavanh, Minister of Agriculture and Environment of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Environmental Cooperation to advance bilateral collaboration on climate change, pollution prevention, and other related areas.
