Matsukawa village Onsen Village is located in the mountains of Matsukawa Valley, where is situated at the foot of Jukai Line. It has a history of over 250 years. Each of the three hot spring inns along the river has its own individual atmosphere. Each of them having its own hot spring source and open-air bath, visitors can go hot “spring hopping”.

This village is often used by climbers of Matukawa mountain route heading for Mt. Ubakura and Mt. Iwate, and Mt. Mitsuishi. This place offers you ways to readjust your physical condition after mountain climbing in summer, and to warm your body after skiing in winter. The secluded open-air bath reflects the scenery of the valley in four different seasons.
