Starting from Mikaeritoge Mikaeri Pass in Hachimantai to go to Nyuto Onsen Village via Mt. Obukadake, Mt.Yasemori, Mt.Ojiromori, and others, this long trail takes more than 2 nights and 3 days. In the course filled with a taste of wilderness, you will go over a number of marshlands and , primitive forests of Japanese beach and Maries’ fir while lodging at shelter huts on the way.
Taking this traverse course, you can walk a long distance while enjoying the views of Mt. Iwate and surrounding mountains, in addition to the various marshland flowers in summer and tinted leaves in autumn.
as shelter huts are unmanned, please bring foods with you. There are no tent sites on the course.

In some open sections from Mikaeri Pass to Mt. Obukadake, you can walk while seeing Mt. Iwate and surrounding mountains.
Enjoy walking in the primeval forests of Maries' fir and Japanese beach. Depending on location, Bamboo grasses and shrubs also grow luxuriantly, which makes you feel the depth of Hachimantai.
Between the forests, there are a number of large and small marshlands. Also you can walk while enjoying marshland plants such as Daylily in July, and Japanese Gentia and red or yellow-colored grasses in autumn.
