Yakehashiri Course

Model Course Scenery

The course of the unspoiled primitive shapes of Yakehashiri Lava Flow and the communities of blooming Komakusa Dicentra

As a popular course along with Yanagisawa Course, the Yakehashiri Course has its entrance at Yakehashiri Lava Flow as its name suggest. At each of two vent sites along the course, you can have a superb panoramic view of the entire shape of lava flows and the whole Eastern Tohoku region.

After passing through a forest zone, one of the greatest Komakusa Dicentra communities appears. People also call their climbing at around late June, the best season for these flowers, as “Komakusa blossom viewing”.

In addition, from the points such as trailhead and the 8th Station, you can see the clear-cut shape of Mt. Iwate known as “Nanbu Fuji”.
