Kagetsu Highland Hotel

Kagetsu Highland

Situated at an elevation of 800 m, Kagetsu Highland Hotel gives an unbroken panoramic view of Fukushima City to the east and the Azuma-Adatara mountain range to the west. The rich, milky-white sulfur spring water is effective against hypertension and arteriosclerosis and is so potent it has been compared to the famous Kusatsu Onsen. The communal bath that opened in October 2013 has a large bathtub and a glass front, making it attractive for its feeling of spaciousness. Appreciate the luxurious waters of a secluded highland spring in the Roten-no-yu, with its beautiful view and harmony with nature, and the Ki-no-yu, with its natural aroma of trees.

MESSAGE

Standing at 800 m, the highest elevation in Takayu Onsen, the view looking out over Fukushima is the pride of the hotel. Here you can encounter the morning sun rising from the Abukuma Mountains; a sea of clouds extending in a flat plane; a curtain of icicles more than a meter long; or other magical scenes created by nature. This hotel is unique in that you can sometimes look down on a rainbow, usually only seen from below. Please enjoy such sights from our cloudy sulfur spring.
