Trend of Transboundary Movement in Asia
Trend of transboundary movements of hazardous wastes and other wastes and secondhand electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) was analyzed based on the data available from national reporting of the Basel Convention as well as trade statistics of each country. This study was conducted by Ministry of the Environment, Government of Japan, with support from other Network countries, as an input for discussion of the second meeting of Swiss-Indonesian Country-led Initiative (CLI), which was held in Wildhaus, Switzerland, 12-15 January 2010.
In order to obtain clear picture of the current status of transboundary movements of hazardous wastes and other wastes in Asian region, the paper is updated on a regular basis.
