It is crucial to collect and analyze waste import/export data in order to obtain clear understanding of the trend and present status of transboundary movements of hazardous wastes based on the rule of the Basel Convention in Asia. In this context, the relevant statistics in Asian countries have been regularly collected and updated under the Network.
