Initial Proposal to launch the Asian Network

A three year project for the Establishment of the Asian Network for Prevention of Illegal Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes has been proposed by the Government of Japan, and acknowledged by Parties at the First Session of the Open-ended Working Group of the Basel Convention (OEWG 1, 28 April - 2 May 2003, Geneva).
