The Ministry of the Environment hosted the 5th Tripartite Roundtable Meeting on Environmental Industry (RTM) among China, Japan and Korea in Tokyo on 13-14 September 2005. The meeting agreed that the three countries should promote concrete cooperation on green procurement, eco labeling and environmental management for small and medium sized enterprises. Also, it was agreed that the 6th meeting shall be held in China. The discussion at the meeting was compiled in the Summary of the Chair.
At the first meeting of the Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting in 1999, environmental ministers of China, Japan and Korea agreed to foster cooperation in the field of environmental industry and environmental technology. Based on this agreement, the first RTM meeting was held in Seoul in 2001.
