Park Etiquette

In order for everyone to have a pleasant experience, the visitors to the national parks are advised to respect nature and observe the following:

For the conservation of nature

  • Do not throw away any trash.
  • Do not pick wild flowers / damage plants.
  • Do not feed wild animals.
  • No hunting or fishing.
  • No smoking while walking.
  • Bonfires / recreational fires are only permitted in designated areas.

Please observe the following manners when climbing Mt. Kuju.

  • Submit a mountain-climber registration form.
  • Dress appropriately for mountain climbing. Do not climb lightly dressed.
  • Use a restroom facility before climbing.
  • Do not bring pets with you.
  • If using a walking stick, please put a cap on it.
  • Stay on the hiking trail.
  • Be careful with open flames. Do not discard cigarettes, knock over gas stoves, etc.
  • Please do not car camp in the parking lot.

Other cautions

  • Please stay out of pastures as livestock can become ill from human contact.
