These are the waters in the vicinity of the mouth of the Nishikigawa River (Imazu and Monzen Rivers) in the city of Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture. These waters are home to Gymnogobius scrobiculatus, ice goby (Shigeta et al., 2003; Shigeta, 2008), and red spotted masu trout (Kato, 1998).
