Results of Verification Tests for the Incineration of Low-contaminated PCB Wastes

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) carried out verification tests for the incineration of low-contaminated PCB wastes (dielectric oil containing PCB concentrations of several dozen ppm) at three facilities nationwide in March 2006, in collaboration with Kitakyushu City, Fukuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Kowa Seiko Co., LTD., Kamtecs, Inc. and Ehime Prefecture Waste Treatment Center. With the results, MOE confirmed that low-contaminated PCB wastes were decomposed safely without hazardously affecting the surrounding areas.
