Communication Words for Biodiversity and the Launch of a Public Information Organization

November 21, 2008

The Japanese Ministry of the Environment, taking the COP10 to be held in Japan in 2010 as an opportunity, has been examining promotion measures for biodiversity in order to gain public understanding and participation from a wide range of stakeholders. In connection to this, the ministry will introduce the communication words, "For All the Life on Earth (tentative translation)", to express "biodiversity" in a more straightforward and easy-to-understand way, and will also launch a public information organization consisting of Japanese celebrities.
