Japan establishes Inter-Ministrial Committee on the Preparations for the CBD/COP10/MOP5 to be held in Japan
On Tuesday September 30, Japan established the Inter-Ministrial Committee on the Preparations for the CBD/COP10/MOP5 to be held in Japan, and has convened its first meeting.
At the CBD/COP9 held in May 2008, it was agreed upon to hold the CBD/COP10/MOP5 in the Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture in October, 2010. Following this decision, Japan began preparing the above committee in order to maintain close liaison amongst the relevant ministries and agencies so as to guarantee that the CBD/COP10/MOP5 takes place smoothly.
