The IYOR 2008 Coral Reef Festival to Be Held
The International Coral Reef Initiatives (ICRI) designated this year the International Year of the Reef (IYOR 2008) and encourages multi-entities, such as governments and NGOs in various regions of the world, to make continuous efforts to promote conservation of coral reef and raise awareness in general public.
In order to address this initiative, the Ministry of the Environment of Japan will hold the commemorative event "IYOR 2008 Coral Reef Festival" at Tokyo Fashion Town (TFT) Building in Koto-ku, Tokyo on June 22, 2008.
The festival will call for Coral Reef Conservation and provide a symposium, a concert and hands-on programs.
