Announcement of the Results of Testing of Wild Birds for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Virus in March 2008 (Announcement)
The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) has announced that the HPAI virus was not detected in the samples taken from wild birds captured in Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture. The duck feces where sampled in March 2008 from 23 cities and villages and 21 prefectures located west of the Kinki area (except Okinawa Prefecture).
