Chairs'Conclusions Issued:4th Ministerial Meeting of the Gleneagles Dialogue on Climate Change,Clean Energy and Sustainable Development

The 4th Ministerial Meeting of the Gleneagles Dialogue on Climate Change, Clean Energy and Sustainable Development was held in Chiba from March 14 (Fri.) to 16 (Sun), 2008. The chairs'conclusions of this Meeting have been issued by the co-chairs,Ichiro Kamoshita,Minister of the Environment and Akira Amari,Minister of Economy,Trade and Industry and have been sent out to the countries and organizations that have participated in the Meeting.

1.Outline of the Gleneagles Dialogue
(1) Dates: March 14 (Fri.)-16 (Sun.), 2008
(2) Venue: Makuhari Messe International Conference
Hall,Chiba,Japan
(3) Hosted by: Ministry of the Environment
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry
(4) Participating Countries and Organizations:
- Environment and Energy Ministers of the G8 countries
and other major greenhouse gas-emitting nations
including China,India and Brazil (See attachment 1
for heads of delegations)
- Representatives from the international organizations
including the World Bank and the International Energy
Agency (IEA)
- Representatives from NGOs/NPOs and industries

2.Chairs'Conclusions
The co-chairs of this Meeting, Minister Kamoshita and
Minister Amari have issued the chairs'conclusions
(Attachment 2),summing up the discussions in the
dialogue.
The outcome of this dialogue is to be reported
to the Hokkaido Toyako Summit.
