Crested Ibis' from China arrive at Sado Toki Conservation Center on November 19 2007 from quarantine: Twenty go to Acclimatization Facility, and Four to Tama Zoological Park

The isolated inspection after import of two Crested Ibis', Huayang and Yishui, arrived from China on November 19, 2007 was ensured and they will be transported to Sado Toki Conservation Center from quarantine on Thursday, December 13, 2007 in order to prepare for breeding.

Following the isolated inspection of two Crested Ibis' Huayang and Yishui which arrived from China on November 19, 2007, their transportation from quarantine to the Sado Toki Conservation Center on Thursday, December 13, 2007 will ensue in preparation for breeding.

Twenty Crested Ibis', in addition to five others which are currently undergoing training to acclimatize to the wild, will be newly transported on Wednesday, December 12 to an acclimatization facility for release into the wild, and then on Thursday, 13, 2007 for a trial re-introduction into the wild to be completed by next Autumn.

In other news, two captive pairs of Crested Ibis' from the Sado Toki Conservation Center will be transported to Tama Zoological Park on Thursday, December 13, 2007 for emergency measures in efforts to prevent infections such as Avian Influenza.


For Japanese
